Atlanta Dream Sign Guard Destanni Henderson to Training Camp Contract

Atlanta, GA - The Atlanta Dream have announced the signing of guard Destanni Henderson to a training camp contract. Henderson, a 5'9" guard from South Carolina, was the 2021 SEC Player of the Year and a two-time All-American.

Henderson is a versatile player who can play both guard positions. She is a talented scorer and passer, and she is also a strong defender. She will provide the Dream with much-needed depth in the backcourt.

"We are excited to add Destanni to our roster," said Dream head coach Tanisha Wright. "She is a young, talented player who has a lot of potential. We believe that she can be a valuable contributor to our team."

Henderson is the second player that the Dream have signed to a training camp contract this offseason. The team also signed forward Aaliyah Boston to a deal earlier this week.

The Dream will open their training camp on May 1st. The team will play their first preseason game on May 10th against the Dallas Wings.
